Born in Hampshire, England, Jackie is the recipient of numerous awards, including UK British Professional Photographer and British Portrait Photographer of the Year, both in 2005.
Jackie has worked in film in Ireland as well as the fast-paced fashion industry in Italy for Milan-based design duo DSquared. She honed her photography skills in the United States at the Maine Photographic Workshops and then with fine art photographer John Paul Capongiro. Today she produces images ranging from hyper-realistic to avant-garde abstraction that define her idiosyncratic style.
In 2008 she was awarded QEP status from the Federation of European Photographers and was part of the team of Adventurers who travelled to Tasmania and Beta tested Adobe Lightroom 2.
Most recently she has gained her MA in Fashion Photography from the The London College of Fashion and a portrait series of 100 Women in Science, Engineering and Technology commissioned by The Imperial College, London has been exhibited at City Hall in London.
Jackie thrives on the artistic energy that propels one of the world’s most exciting capitals while also taking inspiration from her many travels across the globe.
In addition to a body of work which includes limited edition pieces, King also teaches, lectures Internationally, works with clients on commissions and has a product line featuring images from her oeuvre.
