London based, Award Winning British Photographer Jackie King,
Jackie’s background in Film and Fashion propel her signature style of photography and drive her creative essence, cutting her teeth as a stylists assitant on studio and location shoots for magazines and music videos, her attention to detail and artistic flare have encapsulated her unique approach to image taking.
“From photographing musicians in Algeria to celebrating Women in Science and Technology for Imperial College London, I have been delighted by the connections and the characters I have had the pleasure to capture on film and sensor and I feel very strongly that these are reflected in the final images I have created”.
Jackie’s Portfolio includes commissions by Imperial College London, Porsche, Waitrose, and PetPlan, she has been widely published and her Fine Art images have been exhibited internationally from Australia and China to New York and Dublin. Jackie runs her own Photography Workshops and has been heavily involved with the BIPP (British Institute of Professional Photography) serving on the Board of Directors, the first woman to do so Jackie enjoys judging National and Internationally renowned Photography competitions and is a passionate obsessive when it comes to images.
In February 2011 she was selected as a finalist in the FEP Fine Art Photography Awards 2011 and was also chosen to participate in the 4th Juried Plastic Camera Show at the RAYKO Centre in San Francisco.
Jackie thrives on the artistic energy that propels one of the world’s most exciting capitals while taking inspiration from her many travels across the globe. In addition to a body of work which includes limited edition pieces, King also teaches, lectures Internationally, works with clients on commissions and has a product line featuring images from her oeuvre.
